Now the rest of the story

We made our way to northern Alabama to Bucks Pocket State park in the beginning of the Appalacian mountains.
We stayed here for three days and the sun never made an appearance. It stayed wet and cold.We did go on a couple of hikes and saw alot of rivers and waterfalls.
The second day we hiked about 5 miles and Mr. Charlie hung in with us, but it was about the last of hiking for him for the rest of the trip.
We realy like camping in other states during the winter months because there is not alot of other people camping and the fees are usually dropped to half price. I never complain for $9.00 a night.
The weather forcast called for heavy rain and possibilitys of "ice pellets" I'm not exactly sure what ice pellets are but I do know we did not want any part of them.
We drove hard the next day to get out of the foul weather area and ended up back in north Florida. The temps. were 81 in the day and 55 at night. That is some very nice weather.
We finished up our trip with Ted cooking hot dogs on an open flame for the family, he always likes to finish our trips this way and he always asks us about 30 times before we go to bed if we liked his dinner.
As usuall we loved it.
So if you see me this week and I have a glazzed look in my eye I'm just thinking about our trip down south. (or up north for us)
Stay cool (not ice pellet cool)
Tim
