Mississippi and other southern states

Our camping trip started with a bang.
blown camper tire and disfigured rim in Ocala.
After a couple hours looking for a tire and rim on a Sunday finnaly found rims and a cheap tire at Satans shopping store. (Wal-mart)
Had to spend a night, very short of our first night destination, in north Florida at O'leno State park. It's a great place we stayed at many times in the past.
Had to get tires on Monday (DISCOUNT TIRE OF GAINSVILLE) they were fantastic.
On the road again, can't wait to get on the road again.
Made our way to south Alabama to a state park I can't remember the name (had like 3 different listings). It worked for a night was completely filled with deer at dark, we saw 30-40 of them. This is always exciting for a bunch of Florida folks.
Bathroom and shower situation was very poor, but like I said it worked.
We made our way to western Mississippi to Homochito National Forest to a camping area at Clear Springs outside the town of Meadville.
Serious cool place with lots of space, wildlife, and even a beaver dam.
Again a highlight for Floridians.
We stayed here for a few nights, did some hiking and went to see THE GREAT MISSISSIPPI RIVER.
My oldest son Sam who wanted to see thr river was very disimponted at the size of the river. Were we were it was like 3/4 of a mile wide. I'm not sure what he wanted, I thought it was wide.
When we got out of the van, weiner dog Mr. Charlie ran to the river and jumped in and drank the water like it was a life goal for him.
That is quite strange because if you know charlie he does not run for much.
The day we visited the river a cold front was comming in and it was windy and cold as can be.

I'll post more soon.
Tim
