Christmas Eve 2012

It's Christmas eve and the feeling is a lot different than years past.
The Boys are teenagers and not as good as they were on previous years, not that they are bad or anything, but it's you know, different.

Big dinner tonight BBQ NY strips, mashed potatoes, green beans, and garlic soup.
I have never made garlic soup and it was sooooooo good. It reminds me of a bowl I had in the late 80's in a restaurant in Miami called El Cid.

So everyone off early to bed tonight because our ole red suited friend will be stopping by and as we all know.
NO PEEKING

Happy Holidays

Dogs, Laccross and Cars

Here is our extra family car Sam has been driving for a while and that Ted has been learning to drive in.
Reliable.
Good on gas.
Paid for.

This weekends lacrosse tournament is in west Deefrield Beach and it is a 7 on 7 tourny.
The field is about half the size and it is fast paced and high scoring.
A lot of your regular basics for lacrosse is thrown by the wayside, they are so different that Ted the long stick defender went down the field and scored!
That drew a large cheer from the crowd.

Here is a very red eyed (I tried to delete it) picture of Trixie and Charlie. Trixie keeps ALL OF US people and pets on our toes. She is a real scamp but cute as they come.

Here is another view of our extra family car after it battled a SUV. Sam who was not hurt in the least rear-ended a red SUV with a rack on top on Cove Road in front of Murry Middle school.
After pulling off the road the other car calmly drove away.
Car is totaled and we just put fresh tires and brakes last month.
Good times bad times, you know we had our share.

Tough on Sam because he has a split schedule and does not go to school till 11:30am and then has IRSC classes at night.
Can anyone yell TAXI.

11 runners, 1 driver and 1 director
8 pizzas
2 cases soda, 1 case water and lots-o-Gatorade
1840 calenders delivered onto all Rocky Point doorsteps.

Thank You boys we had a ton of laughs and everyone went home with goodies, cash and full belly.
Couldn't ask for better weather either.

Lacrosse Is Back

New year, new season 2012 Martin County Pioneers.
Ted has the number 23 this year. Ted is now 6' 3" and he is 14. Yea he sprouted up again. They won the first game 9-6.

Here he is protecting the goal, lost his footing and landed on the boy from the other team. He was a little shaken up but ok, he just avoided "the big guy" for the rest of the game.

Changes to Florida's building laws for HVAC starting March 15th.
All change-outs must have a J load calculation and all ductwork must be sealed and up to standards. What does that mean?
Just like everything else in 2012.......more money, more money more money.
Gas, food, repairs, will it ever stop?

HEY! There's A Cat In My A/C!

Can't think of a better way to end the beautiful winter day in central/south Florida with a fluffy and soft sunset. We had a couple of cloudy and rainy days (we needed them desperately) and a sunset like this only means tomorrow will be clear and sunny. This is why we love to live in Florida

What's this Jada sleeping in her new favorite spot? It sure is, can't think of a better way to "recycle" an old air handler than sleep in it. When I was a young and wild young man I do recall drinking a little to much on a Sunday and instead of driving drunk I stayed at work and slept on a bed of insulation. I still itch when I think of that. I'd like to type good times, but it wasn't really.

A couple of the neighborhood kids call me The Sunset Guy and get a chuckle out of it. One day they will see. It's all good.

While you were gone these faces filled with darkness.
The obvious was hidden, with nothing to believe in.
Sullen wings of fortune beat like rain.
You're back in terrapin for good or ill again, for good or ill again.

Winter has been mild, and we are warm for February, the heat is creeping our way, don't be scared when it hits us hard, and the sweat rolls off our brows, it only takes a quick little ring , to call the man of your dreams, he will race over swiftly to help your needs in fast and honest way, when he leaves it's cool, and it's back like it's never been before.
Time for a tune up.......283-7222

A Traffic Jam I Like

If you see something that looks like a star
and it's shooting up out of the ground
and your head is spinning from a loud guitar.
And you just can't escape from the sound
don't worry too much, It'll happen to you.
We were children once, playing with toys.

And the thing that you're hearing is only the sound
of the low sparks of high-heeled boys.

The percentage you're paying is too high priced
while you're living beyond all your means.
And the man in the suit has just bought a new car
from the profit he's made on your dreams.
But today you just swear that the man was shot dead
by a gun that didn't make any noise.
But it wasn't the bullet that laid him to rest
was the low spark of high-heeled boys.

If you had just a minute to breath,
and they granted you one final wish
would you ask for something, like another chance.
Or something similar as this
don't worry too much, It'll happen to you
as sure as your sorrows are joys.

And the thing that disturbs you is only the sound
of the low spark of high-heeled boys.

If I gave you everything that I own
and asked for nothing in return.
Would you do the same for me, as I would for you?
Or take me for a ride
and strip me of everything, including my pride.
But spirit is something that no one destroys.

And the sound that I'm hearing is only the sound
of the low spark of high-heeled boys.

Winter in Florida

Step 1

Find a good day to fish the beach.
Clean water, some current, not too hot, and a little spare time.

Step 2

Catch and clean a couple of sweet Pompano.

Step 3

BBQ and enjoy!

The weather has been perfect and no one is using much a/c or heat. The pompano have been biting on a regular schedule. I wonder If I can pay some bills with a fish swap.

If you need an a/c replaced or new ductwork done, this IS THE TIME for your best savings of the year.

Just call, if I don't answer, leave a message and I will call you back during the next tide.

Love ya,
Tim
