Loving Cup

I know it's not a Grateful Dead song but I still love it.
It's Phish......Loving Cup

I'm the man on the mountainCome on upI'm the plowman in the valleyWith a face full of mud
Yes I'm fumblingAnd I know my car don't startYes I'm stumblingAnd I know I play a bad guitar
Give me little drinkFrom your loving cupA just one drinkAnd I'll fall down drunk
I'm the man who walks the hillsideIn the sweet summer sunI'm the man that brings you rosesWhen you ain't got none
Well and I can run and jumpAnd fish, but I won't fightYou if you want to pushAnd pull with me all night
Give me little drinkFrom you loving cupA just one drinkAnd I'll fall down drunk
I feel so humbleWith you tonightJust sittingIn front of the fire
I see your face dancing in the flameFeel your mouth kissing me againWhat a beautiful buzz, what a beautiful buzzWhat a beautiful buzz, what a beautiful buzz
Come with thatOh, what a beautiful buzzWhat a beautiful buzz
Yes, I am nitty grittyAnd my shirt's all tornBut I would love to spill the beansWith you till dawn
And give me little drinkFrom your loving cupA just one drinkAnd I'll fall down drunk
Give me little drinkGive me little drinkGive me little drink...

Spring 2013

Spring 2013 is here and some are ready and like always some are not.

Spring to me is the time of the year to warm up from winter and stretch the bones going into summer. Time to get myself in bikini shape as it were.

Spring is also the time of the year my mind slips back into the fond memories of my youth. Time when I was younger, stronger, and a lot less gray. The time in a young mans life when I was mobile, fun loving and carefree.

What am I talking about?
Spring Tour 1989 to be specific.

Atlanta to Greensboro to Pittsburgh to ..........you get the picture.

Look for a while at the China Cat sunflower,
Proud walking jingle in the midnight sun.
Copperdome bodhi drip a silver kimono,
Like a crazy quilt stargown through a dream night wind.
Crazy cat peekin' through a lace bandanna,
Like a one-eyed Cheshire,
like a diamond-eye jack.
A leaf of all colors plays a golden-string fiddle,
To a double-E waterfall over my back.
Comic book colors on a violin river Cryin' Leonardo,
Words from out a silk trombone.
I rang a silent bell,
beneath a shower of pearls,
In the eagle-winged palace of the Queen Chinee.

The past is the past.
The future is now.
Enjoy the ride before it is all too late.
