The Heat Is On

We went from mild to nice temperatures of low to mid 80's for weeks. May 1st came and left and we all thought summer would never get here. Then came May 3rd came along 96 degrees! That was a real smack in the face. EVERYONE and I mean everyone called. I have said it for years, get that a/c checked before it gets hot.
Here is a cool poster from Phil Lesh and Friends. The Warfield in San Fran. is closing and Phil has the last 5 nights booked. They been throwing down the bombs! Playing full multi Dead albums each night! Check some action on philzone.com. Also check out archives.org for LOADS of free live music.
After looking at this unit and showing the customer pictures of it (it is on a tall rooftop) the question was asked "Will it last another year?" I wish I had a dollar every time I heard that question.
Installed 2 new systems last year for the Walsh family. They are saving 72% off of the cooling bill! These 2 systems will be paid for in full in 42 months! In 3 1/2 years!!!! I don't know about you but I hate paying that power bill.

Till next time,
Tim

There still out there

The weather is still perfect for pompano fishing. Light current, light westerly winds, the water is clean.
Rescheduled some work and school and we watched the sun rise on TUESDAY morning. That's right a Tuesday.
We caught all these fish, not the wiener dog He just wandered into the picture, before 9 AM.

I am not a huge fish eater or a fish killer, but we do love those pompano. We will get another 3 meals from them and some Friends will stop by this afternoon to enjoy a few. 3 fish at 2 lbs. each is a real feast.

This weather is supposed to last past the weekend, we will try it again on Saturday.

Till then, stay cool

Pompano on the beach

Ted kept asking over and over to go to the beach today. I had a boatload of paperwork to do and I kept saying no. Then Anita said she would go and kept asking me to go and try to fish. I finally gave in and we went. It was real windy and we were watching the kite surfers coming and going. Those people rock! Looks like alot of fun. Some of them catch some massive air. I hung out and the tide came in and the waves started to mellow out and the wind too. Still waiting and all of a sudden bait fish appeared and birds were diving and the beach came alive.
In the time span of about 2 to 2 1/2 hours we caught a MESS of fish. 13 pompano, a dozen blue runners, couple of whitting, a couple of croacker, 2 ladyfish, a bluefish, and a 6 to 7 foot shark ate another pompano and ripped up my rig.
We also saw a few snook and a couple of rolling tarpon.

The final count was 13 pompano for the grill and we will feed a few neighbors, They ALWAYS like when we catch too many pompano. May 3rd is very late for pompano. The moral of the story is when asked to go the beach, Go! The paperwork will always be waiting for me. My family will be grown and gone before I know it.

Till next week,

Tim

P.S. anyone want a fish or two for dinner give me a call.
