Warmer days will slip into hot days very very soon.
Suggestion #1
Crank your a/c down cold for a day or two and make sure she is cooling while maintaining temperatures and draining water properly.
Our two biggest service calls when we start a new season is low on refrigerant and backed up drain lines.
A system will continue to leak refrigerant, when it has a leak in it, and the unit does not need to be running. Like a car tire. Wake up and it's flat. Ugh
Algae will dry up in a drain pan and drain line during the winter. Then when it stars up again for the year the dried slime will cause a situation. No one likes a water problem.
Suggestion #2
If your system or ductwork was shaky last year, it probably didn't improve this winter. Get your ball rolling NOW because the price is increasing monthly, stock are and may be low on the equipment that you want and ductwork is a mess beyond messes.
Supply houses are only getting 20-30% of its orders on the first of each month and today is the 3rd and there is NO flexible duct from Broward to Brevard county on hand and the price has doubled. Yes doubled.
The system that was priced last year has probably gone up 30%, easily. With little relief in sight.
What are you trying to tell us Tim ????
Get your ducks (pun) in a row and don't get yourself in a summer time hot as Haiti bind by having to replace a system in the middle of our season where you are buying ANYTHING at the highest rates of the year.
Just a heads up.
Buckle up Kids, things are getting dicey.
